Pismo Beach Homes For Sale

For such a small town Pismo Beach has a huge reputation and is a destination for visitors from around the world.  Sometimes called the 'Clam Capitol", at least on the official city website, Pismo is well know for its miles of beaches, rocky cliffs. tide pools, great surfing and of course claming.

Famous in off road circles, Pismo Dunes (really located in Oceano) is another favorite spot for beach goers, surfers and clamers.  The dunes  can be a challange even for the brave of heart off roaders.

Hotels perched above the cliffs are favorite tourist haunts and and as expected, there are fine dinning experiences to be found, with surf and turf favorites on the menus.

Pismo Beach can be called exclusive without argument and home prices reflect this.  The median price in 2010 was about $685,000, 50% higher than the state average.  This might explain why Pismo Beach has seen a reduction in the number of residents since the 2000 census.
